About the Broome County Fair

The Broome County Fair plays an important role in the growth and development of 4-H youth. This unique opportunity allows youth to showcase their projects and learning in return for encouraging and motivating feedback to promote continued growth and development. Youth also receive acknowledgment and recognition for their hard work and dedication, while sharing their learning with the public and learning from others. Youth who participate in county fair learn responsibility and sportsmanship while strengthening their confidence and communication skills. 4-H alumni often credit the week-long experience for sparking their passions and developing relationships that last a lifetime.

Pies (and so much more) will be auctioned off along the livestock sale to also support the Broome County 4-H program.

The Broome County Fair is a highlight of our year, and with your help, it continues to grow. We hope you'll consider a donation to support 4-H at the fair, held at the Broome County fairgrounds in Whitney Point. Youth will share 4-H's campaign, "4-H Grows," showcasing the broad spectrum of project areas from agriculture to woodworking and STEM to fine arts. Regardless of the project areas our youth choose to pursue, 4-H provides hands-on learning opportunities that help them grow into competent, caring, contributing members of society. 4-H understands that true leaders are not simply born, they're grown.

Check out the 4-H Grows flyer to see a glimpse of the positive impact your contribution makes.
