Tanya received a Master of Arts in Biology from SUNY New Paltz, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from SUNY New Paltz, and a Commercial Horticulture Certificate from the New York Botanical Garden. She manages the grant reconciliations, payroll allocations, and various other accounting tasks as a member of the Finance Department at CCE Ulster.
She previously worked as a business manager for a small, diverse vegetable farm in the Hudson Valley that sells directly to customers and restaurants at Greenmarkets in NYC. Working with various non-profits and federal, state, and local agencies, she initiated and helped to complete the preservation of the 142-acre farm with a conservation easement. As a clerk and member of the Rosendale Environmental Commission she contributed to the Preserving Resources section of the town’s Comprehensive Plan, reviewed documents, took minutes, and helped plan events.
Tanya enjoys spending time with her family, being in the garden, travelling, and exploring the beautiful trails of the Hudson Valley.
