Grapes

The ENYCHP Grape Program provides research-based education, applied research, and technical assistance to commercial wine and table grape growers throughout eastern New York, from the Hudson Valley to the Champlain Valley. The program focuses on improving vineyard productivity, fruit quality, and long-term sustainability through education and outreach related to vineyard establishment, variety selection, canopy management, vine nutrition, pest and disease management, and climate-related production challenges. Working closely with Cornell University researchers in Geneva and the Hudson Valley Lab and statewide viticulture specialists, the program connects growers with the latest research and practical management recommendations through vineyard visits, field meetings, workshops, and seasonal updates. Currently Heather Kase the ENYCH small fruit specialist, is serving as the point of contact for grape questions.
