Research and Education
CCE of Essex County offers a wide variety of educational resources that enable us to holistically address food systems issues. By working at a food-system level, we can more effectively respond to interconnected topics including agronomic support, food access, farmland protection, and more.
CCE Essex agricultural support includes county-specific initiatives, regional teams, and collaborators at Cornell University. Please contact the CCE Essex office with any questions or to request a consultative farm visit. Farm visits help us learn more about the needs of your farm and allow us to develop more refined educational programs. You can also visit the office for soil testing sample bags and assistance with the sample submission process, as well as guidance with understanding your test results.
Essex County residents seeking support from the regional teams or other Cornell resources are encouraged to first contact CCE Essex. We will then link you to the best expert for your question or need. Each regional team produces regular newsletters with research based information relevant for the time of year and current needs of the region.
