Master Gardener Volunteer Training
Struggling with plant diseases, pest problems, or poor soil in your garden? Master Gardener training gives you the tools and knowledge to diagnose problems and grow healthier plants. This 10-week program is where gardening enthusiasts learn science-based horticulture practices from university experts and experienced volunteers.
After completing the program, you'll be able to:
- Identify common plant diseases and pest issues
- Test and improve your soil health
- Choose the right plants for New York conditions
- Troubleshoot gardening problems using research-based solutions
- Connect with a community of experienced local gardeners
Program Details:
- When: January 15 - March 19, Tuesdays 6:30-9:00 PM
- Where: CCE Franklin County Office
- Cost: $200 (includes all materials and soil testing kit)
- Time commitment: 3 hours weekly class + 50 hours volunteer service
