With an eye toward sustainability, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, better energy efficiency and increased farm resilience, CCE agriculture specialists and educators closely monitor the rapidly changing environment farmers are working within.

CCE’s community and economic vitality programs build the capacity of New York state communities to engage in and direct their own futures. Associations partner with campus faculty and staff, local officials, not-for-profits, colleges, planners, policymakers and community leaders.

Nutrition

Partnering with the College of Human Ecology outreach centers, institutes and departments, Cornell Cooperative Extension nutrition programs connect research and practice, are highly collaborative, build on community strengths and provide knowledge for policymakers.

CCE fosters youth empowerment from Buffalo to New York City and nearly every community in between, and supports stronger futures for New York families through hands-on parenting workshops, peer support groups, respite events, inter-generational activities and a deep well of science-based resources.
