State: HEAC June meeting/State Fair Model Horse Show will be at State on 8/30 in Youth building.  Not sure at this time where Hippology will be held.  There are 2 new barns at the State fairgrounds, each containing 52 stalls. Current plan is to use 1 stall for every 4 exhibitors.
Correspondence: Tara Kuba responded to helping at our Clinic/Camp day.  She will go over the quarter system in Showmanship and what a judge looks for.  She will also speak with the State Fair Hippology team about giving oral reasons.

Old Business:

Horse clinic-last minute details. Jann reported that we are ready, There will be classes for those bringing their horse and those who can not bring a horse. Nicole reported that pizza, salad, drinks and dessert will be provided.  There will be no cost to campers this year.   We will sue this day as a trial run for Google Classroom. This will allow all patterns to be uploaded for all exhibitors to see.

Work Bee Wednesday 7/16 at 6 pm. Terry will have a list of jobs that need to be done.

Final Fair Prep:  A couple of people who wanted stalls for fair neglected to turn in a stall request with their entry form.  Much discussion followed. It was clear that we could not resolve this at this meeting but we agreed to work on this to come to a solution. This brought up the topic of fair paperwork again, leaders communicating with their kids etc. We will work on improving the fair entry/stall request form for 2026.

Fair Clean-up work bee: Monday, July 29 at 6 pm. This will serve as our August HPDC Meeting.

New Business:

Fair Parking- Volunteers will have a fob that will allow them to access the Wood Road Lot.  All other Fair parking will be at the southernmost driveway near the Dairy/Beef barn.  There will be no parking this year in the regular lot at the west end of the Horse arena to see how parking will be affected by the GO Art Building proposed.

Horse Sign: The Orleans County 4-H Horse Show sign has been repainted thanks to Julie Fenton and Jenn Boardway and needs to be reattached to the posts.
5-Minute Brainstorming: tabled for this meeting due to the amount of time we spent trying to figure out the stabling.

Respectfully submitted.
