Details:

  • Irish Settlement Farm
In 2023, the O’Brien family made the move from the tiestall to a 6-row freestall, D-12 parlor and manure storage, and converted the tiestall for youngstock and closeup cows. They have since expanded the freestall.
  • Graceway Farm
From 2005 to 2008, Marc Laribee and his team retrofitted the tiestall with a Swing 8 parlor and maternity housing and built a 3-row freestall barn. They later added manure storage and expanded the freestall.
  • Klock Family Farm
In 2015, already with a 3-row freestall and retrofitted parlor, the Klocks decided to modify the freestall and invest in robotic milking – first with two units and later adding a third. This Certified Organic dairy recently became an early-adopter of an automated system for mixing and delivering feed.
