4-H Afterschool

4-H Afterschool Programs combine fun and hands-on learning to help youth build lifelong skills such as leadership, critical thinking, and teamwork. With millions of children lacking access to quality afterschool care, research shows that 4-H programs can have a strong positive impact, especially for high-risk youth.

Offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County, 4-H Afterschool Programs provide research-based, ready-to-use curricula that emphasize “learning by doing.” Programs include academic support, hands-on STEM activities, and more. Download the 4-H Afterschool Program Handbook for details, including Safety Guidelines.
