Each year, Ag-stravaganza welcomes more than 300 Cortland County 4th-grade students for a fun, hands-on exploration of agriculture. Through interactive exhibits, farm animal encounters, and engaging activities led by local farmers and agricultural professionals, students discover where their food comes from and learn about the vital role agriculture plays in their everyday lives.
From crops and livestock to natural resources and farm technology, Ag-stravaganza brings agriculture to life while inspiring curiosity, learning, and appreciation for our local agricultural community.
Each year, more than 300 Cortland County 5th graders visit E-Z Acres Dairy for a hands-on agricultural learning experience that brings the dairy industry to life. Through interactive learning stations and a unique partnership with a working dairy farm, students discover where milk comes from and learn about the many people, resources, and processes involved in producing dairy products.
From caring for cows and understanding nutrition to exploring modern farming practices and environmental stewardship, E-Z Acres Dairy Education Day helps youth connect with local agriculture and gain a greater appreciation for the journey from farm to table.
Each year, Cortland County 6th graders spend two exciting days at 4-H Camp Owahta exploring the natural world through hands-on environmental education. Conservation Field Days introduces students to a variety of topics, including wildlife, forestry, water quality, ecosystems, recycling, renewable resources, and environmental stewardship.
Through interactive learning stations led by local experts and community partners, students gain a deeper understanding of environmental challenges and discover how their actions can help protect and preserve natural resources for future generations.
