Spend the day learning how to prep and show a dairy calf, from wash rack to show ring, all in one go. This hands-on clinic is great for beginners and helpful for experienced youth looking to sharpen skills.
What you’ll do:
Wash and groom, basic clipping, halter breaking, showmanship practice, and then enter the ring for a real show at 5:00 PM.
Who: Youth ages 5–18 (parent/guardian support for younger participants required)
Registration: Required; space is limited
Cost: Free for enrolled county 4-H members; $5 optional add-on for pizza dinner
Experience: All levels welcome
Bring: Closed-toe shoes/boots; water bottle; (optional) show whites and grooming tools if you have them. Calves provided, basic equipment list provided upon registration.
