Kelly Guy brings 24 years of experience in the education field, serving as a classroom teacher, technology leader, and Executive Director. Her lifelong love of learning and leadership is grounded in her early years riding hunter-jumper show horses and spending every possible hour in the barn, an experience that shaped her appreciation for youth development, responsibility, and the powerful bond between people and animals.
Today, Kelly and her family, her husband, six children, a new grandson, and a lively collection of animals including goats, chickens, dogs, and cats, embrace a hands-on, agricultural lifestyle that mirrors the values of CCE and 4-H.
Kelly joined Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cortland County in April 2025 and has truly enjoyed connecting with the community. She credits her time with Rotary International in Australia as the catalyst for seeking a new Executive Director role, where she witnessed firsthand how strong, collaborative communities can transform lives.
With deep enthusiasm for the future, Kelly looks forward to working closely with the 4-H Horse Club and leading efforts to grow Camp Owahta into a three-season outdoor recreation destination. Her passion, experience, and commitment to service make her an energetic champion for youth, families, and the agricultural community across Cortland County.
