CCE of Westchester works with individuals (adult and youth), families, businesses and entire industries to improve the quality of life for those who live and work in Westchester County. We do this through education by bringing the research and technology of Cornell University and other land grant research institutions to the people of Westchester County. We translate the research into real life practical solutions to local problems in the areas of environment, health and nutrition, economic development, and youth development. Our economic development outreach helps keep thousands of Westchester people employed. Our nutrition and health programs help keep people from becoming ill and using a lot of healthcare dollars unnecessarily when it can be avoided. Our youth development programs show young people how to make successful life choices no matter what their socio-economic backgrounds are. Our horticulture and environmental programs help people and industries maintain environmentally-friendly, attractive plantings and control indoor and outdoor pest problems.
