The Orleans County Open Class Sheep Show is an annual show we wish to continue hosting to showcase WNY’s breeders and youth in the sheep industry. September 12, 2026, marks the 5th annual open class sheep show in Orleans County Fair history.
The Orleans County Open Class Sheep Show is a show catered to all in the sheep industry. We try to give everyone a fair shake as best we can, while still educating and promoting the sheep industry of WNY. All are welcome to attend! We pride ourselves in making the show fun and enjoyable for all ages.
While this is an open show, we have opportunities for youth to participate including showmanship and new this year, a skill-a-thon contest. Our goal has been to create a competitive show appealing to both small and large producers in the show industry. While we welcome all breeds including market and Crossbreds, this year we wish to welcome more registered purebred sheep than in the past as we believe it takes a great amount of passion and integrity to raise registered purebred sheep. We would love this to be an opportunity to showcase those who continue the legacy of purebred sheep.
This show has been a work in progress but we are excited with how it has evolved and wish to continue making it better!
