Agriculture
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Lewis County offers research-based resources and education to our farming community while addressing the goals of our local Ag & Farmland Protection Plans. Our educators help farms remain viable and profitable businesses by providing comprehensive information on animal and natural resource husbandry, business planning, marketing, and financial support. We connect clients with Cornell University faculty, Extension experts, and community agencies that provide essential support. Additionally, we support the local agriculture industry through technical services for farmers and rural landowners with both commercial and part-time enterprises. Our programs cover dairy farming, livestock management, agronomy, economic development, natural resources, horticulture, and maple production.
