Food Preservation: Fermenting for Flavor

Learn how to use lactic acid fermentation to preserve your harvest while you create flavorful pickled veggies, kimchi to spice up your meals, and pastes from fresh herbs. Our Master Food Preserver will cover three different techniques, and everyone will take something home to finish the fermentation process and enjoy later.

Invest in our shared community, donate today!

Your gift brings Cornell's research straight to people who need it—farmers improving their soil, grandparents navigating a second round of parenting, neighbors protecting local streams, families stretching their grocery budgets. Every dollar given is invested back in Ulster County.
