CCE Voices Appreciation for N.Y. Farmers

Cornell Cooperative Extension staff across New York state have witnessed first-hand how hard our farmers have been working throughout the pandemic to help keep our food system safe and secure. We wanted to come together (digitally) to show our appreciation for all they do on our behalf. Thank you, farmers! You are essential, vital, and so deeply appreciated! While everyone’s been talking about reopening, here’s the thing: New York’s farms never really closed. Over these past few tumultuous months, one thing hasn’t changed: Our farmers’ tireless work... to plant –grow –produce –cultivate –feed –and nourish...your neighbors –your community –and families all across New York and America. While much of our farmers’ work is done without fanfare, and they never seek recognition, know that we see you. And we want to say thank you. Thank you For keeping us safe For keeping us fed For all the long days, and nights. And the sacrifices you’ve made in these uncertain times. You are essential. You are vital. And we appreciate you. Thank you ––From the bottom of our hearts.
