Harvest New York Farm to Pint Tour

Designed to follow the life-cycle of a pint of locally brewed beer, the inaugural Harvest New York Field to Pint Craft Brewery Tour, held June 29, provided growers, malsters and brewers a closeup look at the various aspects in craft beverage production. Meeting at the CCE of Washington County headquarters, the group visited fields of malting barley right before harvest, hop bines and a working craft malt house. Topping off the tour, which was funded by the New York Farm Viability Institute, was a visit to a local tap room, where the group savored the local flavors culminating from ingredients produced at the tour's earlier stops.
