Project Summary and Intended Outcomes

The Craft Beverage Establishment Cost project is to help individuals that are considering establishing a  brewery, hard cidery, or distillery understand the cost of establishing the business. The outcome of the project is create a report and interactive tool that potential craft beverage businesses may use to determine if venturing into the craft beverage industry is an affordable investment. The interactive tool will include information regarding the essential cost (bottling equipment, tanks, equipment, application, etc.) and equipment needed to establish a craft beverage business.

Roles and Responsibilities

The CALS summer intern will interview breweries, hard cideries, and distilleries across northern New York. They will meet with current craft beverage owners to learn about the current industry, equipment, and the struggles of establishing a business. The summer intern will be part of a project that will benefit the growing craft beverage industry in northern New York. 

Qualifications and Previous Coursework

Ideally studnet will a business class and data collection experience.
