Multi-State Marcellus Shale Academic Research Conference
May 30-31, 2012. DoubleTree by Hilton, Pittsburgh, PA. Click here for more information about the event.

On May 30-31, academic researchers from multiple institutions will convene the second Multi-State Marcellus Shale Academic Research Conference in Moon Township, Pa. This conference provides a unique opportunity for researchers to explore the impacts and technical aspects of unconventional natural gas exploration and production.

The intent of this year’s conference is to offer participants the opportunity to identify gaps in current Marcellus-related research, prioritize research agendas and determine ways to advance these agendas through proposals and projects. Participants will select to join one of four Working Groups: Changing Communities, Changing Environment, Changing Landscape, and Policy Environment. A special session on research wells (designing experiments, identifying protocols, exploring opportunities) also is planned.

Information about the conference can be found at http://www.cvent.com/d/kcqlyf.  Early registration ends Friday, May 4.
