Over the last 30 years, 194 new wineries have opened in New York State, which has eight viticultural regions with a total of 33,000 acres of vineyards.

The Cornell Enology and Viticulture Program provides information to asist the the wine and grape industries in the production of high quality grapes for internationally competitive wines, juice and table fruit.

New York is currently number three in grape and wine production in the U.S., an industry which contributes over $6 billion annually to the New York economy. Many resources are available through the Statewide Viticulture Extension Program.
